  • A Study of Wearabilities of Softwarm Heating Warm Fiber Fabric

    Shang, Lei   Zhang, Yu Juan

With the improvement of people's living standard, the traditional warm clothing already cannot satisfy people's diversified demands about clothes' comfortableness, functionality and aesthetics. Hygroscopic exothermic fibers as a positive heat production type of warm fibers have attracted much attention. Softwarm heating warm fiber is a kind of new functional material and at the same time it is a representative of hygroscopic exothermic fiber. It can absorb the moisture by skin breathe and transfer it into heat energy through chemical reaction so as to achieve the purpose of warmth. In this paper, warmth property, tensile property, and drapability of softwarm fiber plain knitted fabric were tested, and comfort property, mechanical property and appearance performances of softwarm heating warm fiber fabric were investigated. Our study showed that the wearability of softwarm fiber fabric is fine, especially the warmth property which can meet our needs of warmth to knitted underwear.

  • Optical frequency comb generation using two cascaded intensity modulators

Shang, Lei   Wen, Aijun   Lin, Guibin

A simple scheme based on two cascaded intensity modulators to generate a flat optical frequency comb (OFC) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. By setting the two controllable parameters of the intensity modulation (RF amplitude and DC bias), five comb lines with a comb flatness within 0.6 dB are generated. When cascaded with another intensity modulator, 25 comb lines with a spectral power variation of less than 0.9 dB are obtained. The scheme, with a high unwanted-mode suppression ratio 13.1 dB and very low RF signals 0.58V(pi), is relatively simple, cost-efficient and adjustable, with the frequency interval of the OFC varying with the microwave frequency applied to the modulators.

  • Intrinsic kinetics and devolatilization of wheat straw during torrefaction

Shang, Lei   Ahrenfeldt, Jesper   Holm, Jens Kai   Barsberg, S?ren   Zhang, Rui-zhi   Luo, Yong-hao   Egsgaard, Helge   Henriksen, Ulrik B.

Torrefaction is a mild thermal treatment (200-300°C) in an inert atmosphere, which is known to increase the energy density of biomass by evaporating water and a proportion of volatiles. In this work, the degradation kinetics and devolatilization of wheat straw was studied in a thermogravimetric analyzer by coupling with a mass spectrometer. The kinetic parameters obtained by applying a two-step reaction in series model and taking initial dynamic heating period into account can accurately describe the experimental results with different heating programs. Activation energies and pre-exponential parameters obtained for the two steps are: 71.0 and 76.6 kJ mol -1, 3.48*10 4 and 4.34*10 3 s -1, respectively. The model and these parameters were also proven to be able to predict the residual mass of wheat straw in a batch scale torrefaction reactor. By analyzing the gas products in situ, the formation of water, carbon monoxide, formic acid, formaldehyde, methanol, acetic acid, carbon dioxide, methyl chloride, traces of hydrogen sulfide and carbonyl sulfide were found at torrefaction temperatures of 250 and 300°C.

  • The Influence Factors of Silicon Steel Magnetic Property

Shang, Lei   Yang, Hai Li   Xu, Hong   Li, Yun Gang

Magnetic properties of silicon steel mainly depend on the internal organizational structure and chemical composition. The main factors affecting magnetic properties of silicon steel are analyzed and summarized, including grain size, inclusions (size, type, quantity, and morphology), crystal texture, internal stress, dimensional accuracy, the surface quality of steels, and chemical composition. The impact mechanism of the factors influencing silicon steel magnetic property is explained and these influence factors are interrelated.

  • POURABLE DETERGENT SUSPENSION COMPRISING BLEACH CATALYST GRANULES

The invention relates to a pourable detergent suspension comprising: - 30-80 wt.% of hygroscopic component selected from aminocarboxylate chelant, glycerol and combinations thereof; - 8-25 wt.% of water; - 1-30 wt.% of bleaching agent; - 0.1-5 wt.% wt.% of bleach catalyst granules having a diameter in the range of 20 to 2000 µm, said bleach catalyst granules comprising: - 30-90 wt.% of one or more core particles; - 10-70 wt.% of a coating that envelops the one or more core particles, said coating being composed of one or more coating layers and containing: - 1-30% by weight of the coating of catalyst particles containing at least 30 wt.% of manganese bleach catalyst; and - 50-99% by weight of the coating of water-soluble alkali metal sulfate salt; said bleach catalyst granules containing no enzyme, 0.3-20 wt.% of the catalyst particles and 30-99 wt.% of the water-soluble alkali metal sulfate salt. This pourable detergent suspension is easy to manufacture and exhibits good storage stability despite the fact that it contains bleaching agent, bleach catalyst and a significant amount of water.

  • METHOD FOR MIGRATING USER INTERFACE FROM INTERFACE IUR-G TO INTERFACE A, AND EQUIPMENT THEREOF

Provided are a method for migrating User Interface (UI) from the interface lur-g to the interface A and equipment thereof in embodiments of the present inventions. The method includes: a BSC receiving a migration-performed notification from a RNC on the interface lur-g, and the migration-performed notification is sent by the RNC according to a message sent by the Core Network (CN), for notifying that the BSC completes resources preparation; according to the migration-performed notification, the BSC performing the migration for the UI from the interface lur-g to the interface A. With the method and equipments disclosed in the present invention, after receiving a migration-performed notification from a RNC on the interface lur-g, the BSC performs network establishing for UI on the interface A and removing the UI on the interface lur-g. And therefore the interruption time for UI to migrate from interface lur-g to interface A is shorten.

  • The association between food patterns and adiposity among Canadian children at risk of overweight

Shang, Lei   O’Loughlin, Jennifer   Tremblay, Angelo   Gray-Donald, Katherine

Identifying food patterns related to obesity can provide information for health promotion in nutrition. Food patterns and their relation with obesity among Canadian children have not been reported to date. Our aim was to identify and describe food patterns associated with obesity in children at risk of overweight. Caucasian children (n = 630) with at least 1 obese biological parent recruited into the Quebec Adiposity and Lifestyle Investigation in Youth (QUALITY) cohort were studied in cross-sectional analyses. Measures of adiposity (body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, body fat mass percentage measured by dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry), screen time, physical activity (accelerometer over 7 days), and dietary intake (three 24-h food recalls) were collected. Factor analysis was used to identify food patterns. The relationships between food patterns and overweight were investigated in logistic and multiple linear regression models. Three food patterns were retained for analysis: traditional food (red meats, main dishes-soups, high-fat dairy products, tomato products, dressings, etc.); healthy food (low-fat dairy products, whole grains, legumes-nuts-seeds, fruits, vegetables); and fast food (sugar-sweetened beverages, fried potatoes, fried chicken, hamburgers-hot dogs-pizza, salty snacks). Higher scores on the fast food pattern were associated with overweight (BMI >= 85th percentile), and other measures of adiposity (BMI, waist circumference, body fat mass percentage) after adjustment for age, sex, physical activity, screen time, sleep time, family income, and mother's obesity (p < 0.05). Controlling for energy intake did not change these relationships. Our results provide further evidence of a link between fast food intake and obesity in children.
