  • FREQUENCY SHIFT KEY MODULATION SIGNAL DEMODULATION METHOD AND SYSTEM

A frequency shift key modulation signal demodulation method and system, related to the field of frequency shift key modulation and demodulation. Processing data sent by an external radio frequency system, obtaining I/Q data of two IF frequencies and removing DC offset; then, performing zero-IF processing by means of a numerical control oscillator; limiting out-of-band noise of the zero-IF I/Q data by means of a low-pass filter, and after performing time-phase conversion, changing to phase data; limiting out-of-band noise of the phase data by means of a low-pass filter, and generating a bit stream after differential subtraction and a judgment operation; comparing the generated bit stream and an address code, and when the number of errors in the comparison result is below a pre-determined maximum number, outputting a frame synchronization pulse; after performing a frequency shift calculation on the generated bit stream, outputting a frequency shift code; after modulating the outputted frequency shift code, outputting a final modulated result bit stream, and simultaneously performing time synchronization processing. The present invention is used in frequency shift key modulation and demodulation.

  • Facile synthesis of ultra-small PbSe nanorods for photovoltaic application

Han, Lu   Liu, Jie   Yu, Ningning   Liu, Zeke   Gu, Jinan   Lu, Jialing   Ma, Wanli

Nanocrystal array solar cells based on lead chalcogenide quantum dots (QDs) have recently achieved a high power conversion efficiency of over 8%. The device performance is expected to further increase by using 1-dimensional nanorods (NRs), due to their improved carrier transport over zero-dimensional quantum dots. However, previously reported PbSe NRs have not been used in solar cells mainly because of their large diameters, resulting in a small bandgap unsuitable for photovoltaic application. In this work, we have demonstrated a new method for synthesizing monodisperse ultra-small PbSe NRs with the diameter approaching 2 nm (E-g > 1.2 eV), which can be attributed to the use of diphenylphosphine (DPP) and trans-2-octenoic acid (t-2-OA). The introduction of trace DPP can greatly lower the reaction temperature, leading to reduced diameters for the obtained PbSe NRs as well as largely increased yield. The use of short-chain t-2-OA together with oleic acid as capping ligands results in high monomer reactivity, fast nucleus diffusion and high growth rate, which realize the anisotropic growth of ultra-small PbSe NRs at low reaction temperatures. The PbSe NRs show n-type properties and high electron mobility as measured using field-effect transistors. The PbSe NRs with narrow diameters also demonstrate a suitable bandgap for photovoltaic application. They are used for the first time in solar cells and their improved efficiency is demonstrated when used together with QDs.

  • PRESENTING HIERARCHIES OF MAP DATA AT DIFFERENT ZOOM LEVELS

A map is provided for display by one or more computing devices (110, 120, 130, 140, 150). The map includes a first set of geographic locations. The one or more computing devices receive a zoom request for viewing the map. The one or more computing devices then determine whether a zoom level cutoff has been traversed. If so the one or more computing devices may select a second set of geographic locations, from a hierarchy of geographic locations, to be displayed to the user.

  • METHOD OF PROCESSING A BITUMINOUS FEED BY STAGED ADDITION OF A BRIDGING LIQUID

The present disclosure relates to a method of processing a bituminous feed. The bituminous feed is contacted with an extraction liquor to form a slurry. A bridging liquid is added to the slurry in at least two stages and solids within the slurry are agitated to form an agglomerated slurry comprising agglomerated solids and a low solids bitumen extract. The agglomerates are then separated from the low solids bitumen extract. Potential benefits may include the production of smaller and more uniform agglomerates. The former may lead to higher bitumen recoveries and the latter may improve the solid-liquid separation rate. The bridging liquid may be added in an area of relatively high shear rates. Between stages of bridging liquid addition, agglomerates may be removed.
