An eye image including an image of the region containing the intersection of the cornea and iris is processed to identify whether it contains two proximate lines, since it is experimentally observed that this is characteristic of a non-zero value of the iridocorneal angle. The method includes an edge detection step, and then a method of determining whether edges have been detected which comprise these two proximate lines. The lines may be required to meet pre-known criteria, which are obtained from knowledge about the structure of the eye. In this way, it is possible to reduce the influence of other spurious edges in the eye image. The invention makes possible a precise, efficient and automatic system to grade the angle, which in turn makes it possible to provide large-scale clinical use.
A communication cable termination assembly, comprising: a communication module (200); and a dust cover (100) capable of being press-fitted onto the communication module (200). A communication cable (300) is fixed on the dust cover (100) and has a cable core (310) disposed between the dust cover (100) and the communication module (200). The communication module (200) comprises a metal piece (203) for electrically connecting to the cable core (310) of the communication cable (300). When the dust cover (100) is press-fitted onto the communication module (200), the metal piece (203) pierces an outer insulation layer of the cable core (310) to electrically contact with an inner conductor of the cable core (310) so as to build an electrical connection between the communication module (200) and the communication cable (300).

This paper presents a micro-grinding experiment on soda-lime glass to study the surface quality effective factors during micro grinding on hard brittle materials. The process of micro-grinding on soda-lime glass is showed in this paper and micro-grinding equipments are designed,f(z)(feed rate), alpha(p) (grinding depth), nu(g)(Grinding speed) in micro-grinding brittle materials and their effects to surface quality have been discussed by experiments which were carried out on a desktop micro machine developed by NEU. Results proved that f(z) is the most important factor to the surface quality, and low surface roughness could be achieved by high nu(g) and low f(z) in micro-grinding soda-lime glass.

An OCT image of an eye which has been subject to a DSAEK corneal transplant, in which a Descement's membrane in the cornea has been replaced by a graft, is processed to identify the outline of the graft. The process includes the steps of: computationally extracting the boundary of the cornea including the graft; computationally detecting the corners of the graft; computationally extracting points on the boundary between the graft and the original cornea; and computationally fitting the points on the boundary between the graft and the original cornea smoothly into a curve. The outline of the graft is then displayed. A graft profile may be generated, indicating the thickness of the graft at each point along its length.
