  • METHOD FOR IMPROVING CATALYTIC OXIDATION ACTIVITY OF VOCS CATALYST

A method for improving the catalytic oxidation activity of a VOCs catalyst. An alloy catalyst prepared by a flame spray pyrolysis method undergoes steps such as high temperature reduction and acid etching, so as to significantly improve the catalytic oxidation activity of the catalyst. A catalyst carrier is an oxide or simple substance which is not dissolved by acid, and an active component is an alloy formed of Pt or/and Au and at least one metal which may be dissolved by acid. The metal which may be dissolved by acid may be partially or completely etched away during the acid etching. Due to the porous structure of the etched alloy, the contact area between the active component and a reactant is increased, and a mass transfer process is intensified, thereby improving the catalytic oxidation activity of the catalyst. The method process for improving the activity of the supported catalyst is simple, the process is continuous and controllable, and scaled-up production is easy to implement.

  • MONOLITHIC METAL-BASED CATALYST, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREFOR

The present invention relates to a monolithic metal-based catalyst, and a preparation method and application therefor. A carrier of the catalyst is an Fe-Cr-Al alloy mesh or an Fe-Cr-Al alloy sheet, and a mixture of Al2O3 and a precious metal active component is evenly deposited on at least one side of the carrier. A flame spray pyrolysis deposition method is used for the monolithic metal-based catalyst, and the Al2O3 and the precious metal active component are deposited on the carrier in one step. The monolithic metal-based catalyst is used for a catalytic reaction requiring heating and warming up. Via the preparation method, the thickness of a thin layer of the Al2O3 and the precious metal active component on the carrier is even, significantly reducing the amount of the precious metal active component, and reducing the manufacturing costs of the catalyst, at the same time as strengthening the bond strength between the Al2O3 and the precious metal active component and the metal-based carrier. The thermal shock resistance of the catalyst is improved, and the catalyst also has good catalytic activity and stability.

  • An Algorithm for Salt and Pepper Noise Removal Based on Information Entropy

Zhao, Feng   Ma, Rui Chuan   Ma, Jia Qing

By using information entropy to estimate the distribution uniformity of the pixels with a same gray level, an accurate salt and pepper noise detection method is presented based on the statistical property of salt and pepper noise. And then, a new modified mean filter is designed, which sets up noise-centre filtering windows, Moreover, the weighted means are calculated by merely using the non-noise points in each filtering window. The presented filter can efficiently preserve the details of images, avoid the affection of noise points on the restore points, and reduce the dimness of the noise points. Experimental results show that this algorithm has the better performance on noise detection, noise filtering, and the protection of detail.

  • Wind/PV Hybrid Energy System Matching Design Based on Backward Inference

Zhao, Feng   Liu, Xin Hui   Liu, Hao   Zhang, Fei   Weng, Xiao Hui

This paper proposes a wind/PV hybrid energy system matching design method, which is based on backward inference. According to the method, the system can be matched based on the users’ need of energy combined with the local weather conditions and the total cost of the system devices is the smallest. Meanwhile, engineers and designers can work out the power from solar battery and wind turbine which meets the users’ need most economically. The paper uses the concept of “efficient time” which means the time it needs to generate the acquired energy when the generator works in its full power. Based on the users’ need, the power of solar battery and wind turbine can be calculated. What is more, combined with the local latitude and longitude, the best proportion for each kind of energy can be worked out. We take Changchun city of China as an example. It is showed in the result that the backward-inference method is more suitable to the users’ need and we evaluated it by the HOMER program [1], the result proves it is feasible. Also, the result of the method can be used as the input data of the HOMER program for designers and engineers to enhance the accuracy as well as to cut down the design difficulty. In the end, using the theory, our team has developed a system for the Wind/PV hybrid system matching design.
