    Phosphorothioate nucleotides have emerged as powerful pharmacological substitutes of their native phosphodiester analogs with important translational applications in antisense oligonucleotide (ASO) therapeutics and cyclic dinucleotide (CDN) synthesis. Stereocontrolled installation of this chiral motif has long been hampered by the systemic use of phosphorus(III) [P(III)]-based reagent systems as the sole practical means of oligonucleotide assembly. A fundamentally different approach is described herein: the invention of a P(V)-based reagent platform for programmable, traceless, diastereoselective phosphorus-sulfur incorporation. The power of this reagent system is demonstrated through the robust and stereocontrolled synthesis of various nucleotidic architectures, including ASOs and CDNs, via an efficient, inexpensive, and operationally simple protocol.   • Universality of P - V criticality in horizon thermodynamics

    We study P-V criticality of black holes in Lovelock gravities in the context of horizon thermodynamics. The corresponding first law of horizon thermodynamics emerges as one of the Einstein-Lovelock equations and assumes the universal (independent of matter content) form delta E =3D T delta S - P delta V, where P is identified with the total pressure of all matter in the spacetime (including a cosmological constant A if present). We compare this approach to recent advances in extended phase space thermodynamics of asymptotically AdS black holes where the 'standard' first law of black hole thermodynamics is extended to include a pressure-volume term, where the pressure is entirely due to the (variable) cosmological constant. We show that both approaches are quite different in interpretation. Provided there is sufficient non-linearity in the gravitational sector, we find that horizon thermodynamics admits the same interesting black hole phase behaviour seen in the extended case, such as a Hawking-Page transition, Van der Waals like behaviour, and the presence of a triple point. We also formulate the Smarr formula in horizon thermodynamics and discuss the interpretation of the quantity E appearing in the horizon first law.

    In this paper,we calculate the B→J/ψ helicity form factors(HFFs) up to twist-4 accuracy by using the light-cone sum rules(LCSR) approach.After extrapolating those HFFs to the physically allowable q~2 region,we investigate the B-meson two-body decays and semi-leptonic decays B→J/ψ(P,V,lv),where P/V stand for light pseudo scalar and vector mesons,respectively.The branching fractions can be derived using the CKM matrix element and the B lifetime from the Particle Data Group,and we obtain B(BJ/ψπ)=(0.136)%,B(B→J/ψK)=(0.010)%,B(B→J/ψρ)=(0.768)%,B(B→J/ψK)=(0.043)%,B(B→J/ψμv)=(2.802)%and B(B→J/ψτv)=(0.559)%.We then obtain R/μv=0.048 and R/π=0.075,which agree with the LHCb measured value within 1σ-error.We also obtain R=0.199,which like other theoretical predictions,is consistent with the LHCb measured value within 2σ-error.These imply that the HFFs under the LC SR approach are also applicable to the B meson two-body decays and semi-leptonic decays B→J/ψ+(P,V,lv),and the HFFs obtained using LCSR in a new way implies that there may be new physics in the B→J/ψlv semi-leptonic decays.
