Various communication systems may benefit from the appropriate handling of data that is to be transmitted to a terminal device. For example, certain wireless communication systems may benefit from mobile terminated handling when a user equipment is in inactive state. A method can include determining a user equipment's location. The method can also include sending mobile terminated data from a paging occasion to the user equipment at the determined location scheduled by a downlink control channel while the user equipment is in inactive mode.
