DISC BRAKE COOLED BY BOTH AIR AND WATER

Abstract(summary):

A disc brake cooled by both air and water comprises a brake disc (1) and a brake shoe (6). The brake disc (1) comprises a brake disc base (3). The brake disc base (3) comprises an inner side annular disc portion (3-1) and an outer side annular disc portion (3-2). A hub (2) is fixedly connected to the inner side annular disc portion (3-1). Two sides of the outer side annular disc portion (3-2) are both provided with multiple fan-shaped slots (3-3). One side of an asbestos-free friction plate (4) is provided with fan-shaped protrusions (4-1). The fan-shaped protrusions (4-1) are mounted in the fan-shaped slots (3-3). The inner side annular disc portion (3-1) is evenly provided with multiple axial through holes (3-4). The inner side annular disc portion (3-1) and the outer side annular disc portion (3-2) are provided with radial through holes (3-5). One end of the radial through hole (3-5) is in communication with the axial through hole (3-4), and the other end thereof is directly connected to an outer annular surface of the outer side annular disc portion (3-2). The brake shoe (6) is provided with multiple cooling water channels (6-1). During braking, heat absorbed by the brake shoe (6) is taken away by cooling water, and heat absorbed by the brake disc (1) is taken away by a heat dissipation passage formed by an axial air passage and a radial air passage, ensuring that the temperature of the brake disc (1) also remains low.
