Experimental investigation of foam dedusting agent in underground coal mine

Abstract(summary):

To select appropriate foam dedusting agent, compound formulation experiments, based on a kind of evaluation method of foam properties called Waring blender, are conducted on three kinds of foaming agent and four kinds of stable foam agent in different concentration. Optimal material mixture ratio of the dedusting agent with high foaming multiple and long stability is obtained: foaming agent FP-1 with a 0·4% aqueous solution and stable foam agent WP-3 with a 1% aqueous solution. On-the-spot application test shows that the dedusting rates of foam dedusting for total coal dust and for respiratory dust are respectively twice and 2·9 times than the rates of water mist dedusting for the above-mentioned two types of dust, which shows an obvious effect on dedusting.
