Abstract(summary):

In 1990 M. F. Rayner-Canham and G. W. Rayner-Canham published an article about pioneering women in the science of radioactivity. Among them was Jadwiga Szmidt who was featured at the time of her work in Rutherford's laboratory in 1913-1914. In this publication, among other things, it is suggested that she was of Polish descent. The information concerning Jadwiga Szmidt comes to an end in 1920. Here is a supplement to the life sketch of this woman scientist, on the basis of the data that we have managed to acquire
