Phase sensitive amplification in a highly nonlinear lead-silicate fiber

Abstract(summary):: We experimentally demonstrate phase-sensitive amplification in a highly nonlinear and low-dispersion lead-silicate W-type fiber. A phase-sensitive gain variation of 6 dB was observed in a 1.56-m sample of the fiber for a total input pump power of 27.7 dBm.
