An anyonic exclusion statistics, which generalizes the Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac statistics of bosons and fermions, was proposed by Haldane [1]. When fusion of anyons is involved, certain 'pseudo-species' anyons appear in the exotic statistical weights of non-Abelian anyon systems; however, the meaning and significance of pseudo-species remains an open problem. The relevant past studies had considered only anyon systems without any physical boundary but boundaries often appear in real-life materials. In this paper, we propose an extended anyonic exclusion statistics on surfaces with gapped boundaries, introducing mutual exclusion statistics between anyons as well as the boundary components. Motivated by refs. [2, 3], we present a formula for the statistical weight of many-anyon states obeying the proposed statistics. Taking the (doubled) Fibonacci topological order as an example, we develop a systematic basis construction for non-Abelian anyons on any Riemann surfaces with gapped boundaries. The basis construction offers a standard way to read off a canonical set of statistics parameters and hence write down the extended statistical weight of the anyon system being studied. The basis construction reveals the meaning of pseudo-species. A pseudo-species has different 'excitation' modes, each corresponding to an anyon species. The 'excitation' modes of pseudo-species corresponds to good quantum numbers of subsystems of a non-Abelian anyon system. This is important because often (e.g., in topological quantum computing) we may be concerned about only the entanglement between such subsystems.
Drawing upon a panel dataset on China's state-owned construction land supply at the prefecture level, this paper adopts the spatial panel data model to investigate the existence of spatial dependence in the mechanisms behind China's urban land expansion from 2004 to 2014. The empirical results show that China's urban land expansion has been mainly influenced by a quadruple process of urbanization, industrialization, globalization and decentralization. The strong existence of spatial dependence in China's urban land expansion can be reflected by the significant coefficient estimates of the spatial lags of both the dependent variable and independent variables.
The present invention relates to a surfactant composition, a manufacturing method of same, and an application of same in tertiary oil recovery. The surfactant composition of the present invention comprises a cationic surfactant composition and an anionic-nonionic surfactant composition, which shows obviously improved interfacial activity and stability in comparison with the prior art. With the surfactant composition of the present invention, an oil displacement composition for tertiary oil recovery can be manufactured, wherein the oil displacement composition is improved in the oil displacement efficiency and the oil washing capability in comparison with the prior art.
In this paper we explore how non trivial boundary conditions could influence the entanglement entropy in a topological order in 2+1 dimensions. Specifically we consider the special class of topological orders describable by the quantum double. We will find very interesting dependence of the entanglement entropy on the boundary conditions particularly when the system is non-Abelian. Along the way, we demonstrate a streamlined procedure to compute the entanglement entropy, which is particularly efficient when dealing with systems with boundaries. We also show how this method efficiently reproduces all the known results in the presence of anyonic excitations.
While suburban areas have been typically related with urban sprawl, low density, cheap land price and low-end manufacturing industries, relatively little attention has been paid to the spatial organization of innovation in suburban areas. In some Chinese cities, development zones (kai fa qu) in their suburban areas which are generally regarded as major spaces for traditional manufacturing industries have been transforming into spaces for innovation. This paper provides a case study of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu province in Eastern China by investigating and explaining the learning and innovation processes in suburban development zones. Drawing upon a unique database on 733 state-certified high-tech firms in Nanjing from 2008 to 2012 which contains detailed information on their addresses and number of patents, we observe strong spatial disparity in the distribution of innovation. Suburban districts of Nanjing where its three national-level development zones and many provincial-level development zones are located have become major spaces for innovation of the city. The planning of industrial clusters in development zones, the place-based investment in the suburbs, and the suburbanization of universities are three major mechanisms behind the learning and innovation processes in Nanjing's suburban development zones.
Knowledge polycentricity and the evolving Yangtze River Delta megalopolis. Regional Studies. Inspired by the two defining but often overlooked features of megalopolises as hinges' and incubators', this paper presents a multi-scalar and dynamic analysis of the knowledge polycentricity of China's Yangtze River Delta Region. Using data on publications and co-publications from 2000 to 2014, the results show that the structures of knowledge production and knowledge collaboration within and beyond the region have, to differing degrees, become more polycentric. Whereas the region has acted as an incubator' of knowledge at the megalopolitan scale, its hinge' role in knowledge collaboration has been mainly played at the national scale.

The surfactant composition according to the present invention comprises a cationic-nonionic surfactant and an anionic surfactant, and has apparently improved interfacial activity and stability as compared with the prior art. By means of the surfactant composition of the present invention, an oil displacement composition for tertiary oil recovery that has better oil displacement efficiency and oil washing capability than the prior art can be prepared.
Efficient blue polyfluorenes have been generated by incorporating the hole transport material N-([1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl)-9,9-dimethyl-N-(4-(9-phenyl-9H-carbazol-3-yl)- phenyl)-9H-fluoren-2-amine (BCFN) into poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene) (PFO) as an emissive layer. BCFN has an appropriate highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) energy level and high hole transport/electron barrier properties, which can effectively reduce the hole injection barrier and improve the charge carrier injection and transport. These properties resulted in a significant improvement in the electroluminescent (EL) performance of PFO. To further improve the EL performance of PFO, the blend hole transport layer, PVK [Poly(N-vinylcarbazole)]: BCFN with weight ratio of 3: 7, was inserted between the PEDOT:PSS and the emissive layer. The blend hole transport layer effectively reduced exciton quenching and markedly decreased the hole injected barrier. A maximum luminous efficiency (LEmax) of 4.31 cd A(-1) was obtained with the CIE coordinates of (0.17, 0.13). The device maintained a LEmax of 4.27 cd A(-1) at a luminance of 1000 cd m(-2). In addition, stable EL spectra were obtained and were nearly identical when the applied voltage was increased from 5 to 11 V. These results indicate that blending the appropriate hole transport material can be an efficient method to improve device performance based on the large band gap of blue-lighting materials.
