LOW COST HIGH EFFICIENCY SOLAR CONCENTRATOR WITH TRACKING RECEIVERS

One embodiment of the invention relates to a light concentrator apparatus including a reflector with an open substantially hemispherical reflecting surface characterized by a radius R, and an aperture for admitting light onto the hemispherical reflecting surface. The light concentrator apparatus further includes a movable elongated light collector having a first end located proximal to the reflecting surface; and extending along a longitudinal axis in a direction substantially normal to the reflecting surface to a second end. The light concentrator further includes a tracker configured to move the first end of the collector to points proximal to the reflecting surface.

SOLAR CONCENTRATOR FOR USE WITH A BI-FACIAL CELL

An apparatus is disclosed including: a trough shaped concentrator extending along a longitudinal axis, tapering in a direction transverse the longitudinal axis from a relatively wide top to a relatively narrow bottom, and surrounding an interior region. The trough shaped concentrator includes a light admitting surface located at the wide top; and a trough shaped light reflecting surface which concentrates light admitted through the light admitting surface from a source to a concentration region within the interior region. In some embodiments, the apparatus also includes a bifacial photovoltaic cell located in the concentration region to receive a first portion of concentrated light on a first face and to receive a second portion of concentrated light at the second face.

Effect of a thin optical Kerr medium on a Laguerre-Gaussian beam

Using a generalized Gaussian beam decomposition method the authors determine the propagation of a Laguerre-Gaussian (LG) beam that has passed through a thin nonlinear optical Kerr medium. The orbital angular momentum per photon of the beam is found to be conserved while the component beams change. As an illustration of applications, the authors propose and demonstrate a Z-scan experiment using a LG 01 beam and a dye-doped polymer film

METHOD FOR EXTRACTING AND PURIFYING L-ERGOTHIONEINE

A method for extracting and purifying L-ergothioneine comprises the following steps: (1) soaking and extracting a mushroom mycelium fermentation liquid by using hot water, so as to obtain a mushroom and L-ergothioneine water solution; (2) performing ultrafiltration of the mushroom and L-ergothioneine water solution by using an ultrafiltration membrane with a molecular weight cut-off of 1kDa to 30kDa, and collecting an ultrafiltration liquid; and (3) performing chromatographic purification of the ultrafiltration permeation liquid, the chromatographic purification conditions being: a chromatographic filler being an HILIC filler, a mobile phase forming acetonitrile-water with a volume ratio of 80: 20 to 88: 12, and a quantity of feed of L-ergothioneine being 0.01g to 0.323 per 100g.

METHOD FOR PREPARING L-ERGOTHIONEINE

Disclosed is an improved method for preparing L-Ergothioneine. The method comprises the following steps: (a) inoculating the pleurotus ostreatus CGMCC No.6232 strain into a seed medium, and culturing and preparing a seed liquor, soybean cake powder being used as a nitrogen source of the seed medium; and (b) inoculating the seed liquor into a fermentation medium, and culturing the fermentation medium to obtain a pleurotus ostreatus mycelium fermentation liquor.

PREPARATION CONTAINING ERGOTHIONEINE, PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF AND USE OF MUSHROOM EXTRACELLULAR FERMENT LIQUOR

Disclosed is a preparation containing ergothioneine. The ergothioneine is provided by an extracellular ferment liquor and/or the concentration of the extracellular ferment liquor which is obtained by removing the mycelia from the ferment liquor produced through the liquid fementation of the mushroom, and the preparation comprises food, cosmetics and animal feed. The method for preparing the preparation comprises liquid-fermentation of the mushroom, removing the mycelia from the fermentation product, and selectively concentrating the extracellular ferment liquor obtained after removing the mycelia. The extracellular ferment liquor and/or the concentration of the extracellular ferment liquor obtained through the liquid fermentation of the mushroom are used in preparing the preparation containing ergothioneine.
