Abstract: This article aims to make a critical reading of the report Progress of the World's Women 2015-2016. Transforming Economies, Realizing Rights of UN-Women. After arguing that the report is distinguished by having as analytical reference the rich contributions of feminist studies in the discussion of gender inequalities, it tries to point out some shortcomings, namely, the absence of debate on international migration and urban mobility that severely affect class and gender inequalities.=09
Abstract This article reflects on the therapeutic culture that Brazilian anonymous support groups produce =E2=80=93 especially in MADA (Women Who Love Too Much Anonymous) =E2=80=93 and on contemporary feminist strategies and forms of action in digital networks, as pedagogical instances of emotional learning and social (re)organization of romantic suffering. In this way, I attempt to understand how accounts about love and romantic suffering offer modes of action, systems of communication, and exchanges between these domains.=09
Genotype by environment interaction (GE) is a reality in plant breeding and crop production, and has to be dealt with. There are but two viable options to deal with GE: to utilize it or to avoid it, depending on whether it is repeatable. Repeatable GE can be selected for (utilized) whereas unrepeatable GE has to be selected against (avoided). To utilize GE involves identifying repeatable GE, dividing the target region into subregions or megaenvironments (ME) based on the repeatable GE pattern, and selecting within ME. By definition, GE within ME is unrepeatable and has to be avoided. To avoid unrepeatable GE is to test in a sufficient number of environments (locations and years) representing the target ME and to select both high mean performance and high stability. My preferred analytic tool for identifying repeatable GE, ME analysis, representative test locations, and superior genotypes is GGE (genotypic main effect plus GE) biplots, which was demonstrated using oat (Avena sativa L.) yield data from multilocation multiyear trials. Some important issues on GE study, in relation to genotype evaluation, were discussed. These included the framework of multiyear multilocation trials, the distinction between repeatable and nonrepeatable components of GE, the need to consider both genotypic main effect (G) and GE, and the relative importance of mean performance (G) vs. stability (GE) in genotype evaluation.
Here we describe the divergent, biosynthetically inspired syntheses of (+/-)-rhodonoids C-G and (+/-)-ranhuadujuanine B. The key steps of the Syntheses inelude the construction: of the chromene unit through a formal oxa-[3 + 3] annulation and a biomimetic acid-catalyzed ring Cyclization. Cationic [2 + 2]:cydoadclition is accomplished to form the cyclobutane core of (+/-)-rhcidonoids E and F.

Abstract The article aims to map the production of knowledge in the areas of health sciences, humanities and social gender and rurality, from a critical analysis. For this, searches were conducted at the website of portal de peri=C3=B3dicos da coordena=C3=A7=C3=A3o de aperfei=C3=A7oamento de pessoal de n=C3=ADvel superior with the keywords: gender and rural, gender and rurality, and rural woman, woman and rurality in the 2000-2014 period. The selection generated a total of 108 articles, out of which 25 articles presented discussions about the ways of life of women in rural settings and therefore were included in this study. The analysis addressed discussions on gender relations in rural areas and gender and new ruralities. The analyzed productions recognize advances in gender issues in rural areas, however, distinguish the need for a greater presence of feminist theories in the formation of theoretical and methodological approaches with these contexts.=09
The Israeli alkaline fuel cell developer and manufacturer GenCell has announced a strategic partnership with San Diego Gas & Electric in the US. The California-based energy company has been working alongside GenCell over the last year to test this fuel cell technology.
