The T2K (Tokai-to-Kamioka) experiment is a long baseline neutrino experiment designed to observe oscillations from mu neutrinos to electron neutrinos. Through 2013, the system showed stable operation, with 230 kW of beam power and 1.2×1014 protons per bunch, the highest intensity in the world. This manuscript describes the data acquisition system used to monitor the high-intensity proton beam that produces the neutrino beam. This paper describes the data acquisition system for the monitoring of the primary proton beam and the secondary muon beam.
