Abstract(summary):

Many previous papers have made use of the Rao, Wilton, and Glisson basis functions within an integral equation formulation. The original scheme introduced approximations in the testing to reduce the computational effort. Recently, papers have appeared to discuss methods of efficiently computing the full impedance terms only. This paper will discuss the quality of solutions and the associated computational effort when the impedance terms are evaluated with and without the original approximation
