The paper deals with the problem of preamble-based synchronization for OFDM/OQAM systems. Specifically, by exploiting the conjugate-symmetry property of a recently proposed preamble structure, a simple and robust procedure for timing and CFO synchronization is proposed. The root mean square error of the proposed estimators and the overall performance of an OFDM/OQAM system exploiting them are evaluated via computer simulations. (C) 2012 Elsevier B.V.
